Born and Raised in Your Backyard

March 25, 2024 · 1 minute read

I was just a kid, really, when you all first started letting me into your backyards. Just a 25-year-old kid pulling up in a beat-down old red pickup truck with a chainsaw in the bed.

Thank you!

Thank you for believing in me, and then thank you for believing with me in all the men and women, old and young, who you have let come into your backyards with me.

Here’s what you have done with that belief:

  • 45+ employees working in a company that truly cares for them.
  • 45+ employees driven in their pursuit of personal and professional growth.
  • 45+ employees who are deeply engaged with their natural environment and care about the Richmond forest we all call home.
  • 45+ employees committed to setting a new standard of risk management and professionalism in Arboriculture.

Not a bad payout for simply believing in a kid with an old red pickup truck.

They say it takes a village to raise a child.  Well, no less so does it take a village to raise a company.  You’ve been honest when we weren’t performing our best, you have praised us when we performed well, and you have held us to the high standard we would need to live up to as a fully grown company.

And we have listened to the advice from the trees:

  • Live in the Sunshine
  • Stand tall and proud.
  • Drink lots of Water.
  • Remember your Roots
  • Be expressive.

I hope the community and the urban forest of Richmond, VA find Truetimber Arborists to be a proud reflection of themselves.

25 is a big number, to be sure.  We are blessed to be a 25-year-old company, and it’s a happy, happy Anniversary for Truetimber Arborists!  But the bigger number is 45.

45, and growing all the time.

And so if you haven’t gotten the message yet I’ll say it one more time.

Thank you, Village!

We’ll see you in your backyard.
